The person behind the code.
Startups don't wait for the perfect moment, and neither do I. A dynamic go-getter with a knack for turning raw ideas into fully-fledged products — across Singapore, the United States, Japan, and India, over 6+ years in startups only, never a legacy corporate.
I've watched FireEye and CrowdStrike grow from scrappy teams into category-defining giants, built and lost my own ventures, and built one — the Web Attack Simulator — that became a company's core USP and earned me US Patent 12,158,958. Today that same instinct runs as Founder & CTO at Neuralogix and as an SDLC governance expert at JP Morgan, with a little giving-back on the side through The Joy of Giving.
Calm in the chaos. Relentless on the outcome.
Titles and tech stacks change. This doesn't.
Always Learning
New stack, new market, new environment — I pick it up fast and adapt faster. Comfort zones are for someone else.
Precision Under Pressure
I've shipped production releases with high impact and low disruption, on deadline, with the clock and every stakeholder watching.
Never Quit
Hard problems don't scare me off — they're the ones worth solving. I finish what I start, especially when it's difficult.
Full Ownership
No hand-offs, no finger-pointing. If my name's on it, I see it through to done — and I own the outcome, good or bad.
Mentor. Advisor. Philanthropist.
Success that isn't shared is just a number. Here's where I put it to work.
Mentorship
I give direction to young engineers and aspirants — not just in tech, but across subjects — helping them turn early curiosity into a real career. Having built, failed, and rebuilt startups myself, I mentor from experience, not theory.
Advisory & Investing
Always hunting the next big opportunity — decoding markets, analyzing disruptive business models, and advising founders building their own ventures from the ground up.
The Joy of Giving
I founded and run The Joy of Giving, a charity focused on girls' education, women's empowerment, and poverty alleviation — because talent is everywhere, opportunity isn't.
What people notice
From zero to production, every time.
Proof beats promises. Here's the paper trail.
Vice President, Controls & Governance SDLC Audit
JP Morgan
Deep in the SDLC audit space — checkpoints, tollgates, and the exact spots where most organizations quietly fall out of compliance between "approved on paper" and "running in production." Orchestrated cloud migration from monolithic to microservices architecture and built the governance frameworks — review boards, design principles, enforcement — that keep large engineering orgs honest.
Founder & CTO
Neuralogix
Designed enterprise-scale, cloud-native architecture leveraging microservices, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns. Modernized infrastructure with Terraform, CI/CD, and Istio service mesh; drove an API-first architecture and shipped end-to-end ML models into production.
Independent Founder US Patent 12,158,958
Multiple Ventures — Some Failed, One Made It
Built startups from a blank slate more than once. Not all of them survived — but the one that did produced the Web Attack Simulator, which I solely designed, architected, and coded from scratch and took to production. It became the company's core USP and is now protected under a granted US patent.
Early-Stage Engineer
FireEye & CrowdStrike — Singapore, USA, Japan, India
Joined both companies when they were still small, pre-hypergrowth teams, and watched — from the inside — how disciplined engineering and relentless execution turn a startup into a category-defining, publicly traded cybersecurity leader.
The toolkit.
People and judgment first — the technical stack is just how I execute on both.

Data, ML & Observability
Crypto, capital, and compounding.
Building startups means living and dying by cash flow — that's what pulled me deep into digital assets and personal capital strategy in the first place.
Digital Assets & Crypto
I track blockchain fundamentals, DeFi and Web3 infrastructure, and on-chain trends the way I track system metrics — closely, and skeptically. I read crypto as a technologist first: what's genuine infrastructure, and what's just narrative.
Money Management Philosophy
My approach mirrors how I build systems: diversify like you'd design for fault tolerance, size positions like you'd size blast radius, and let compounding do the quiet, unglamorous work over time.
Core Principles
These are personal perspectives shaped by building and investing in startups — not regulated financial, investment, or tax advice. Always do your own research and consult a licensed advisor before making financial decisions.
What I bring to the table — and to the war room.
Hire the person who's already lived through the fire drill. Outside of Neuralogix and JP Morgan, I take on a limited number of freelance software engineering engagements each year.
Zero-to-One Product Build
Solo-capable, patent-proven: I design, architect, and code production systems from a blank repository.
SDLC Governance & Audit
I know exactly where checkpoints and tollgates get skipped — and how to make compliance hold up in real production, not just on paper.
Platform Engineering
Cloud migration strategy and distributed systems built to scale.
Data Engineering
ML model integration and real-time inference architectures.
Automation Engineering
Test coverage that catches defects before your customers do.
Observability Engineering
Monitoring architectures and dashboards that tell the truth fast.
Don't take my word for it.

"His attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive communication made a huge difference in our project's success."
"From the initial consultation to the final delivery, the professionalism and his dedication were truly impressive."
"Absolutely outstanding service! Joy went the extra mile to ensure our project was completed on time and met all our business requirements."
Have a bold idea? Let's make it real.
Startup to build, compliance mess to untangle, a cause worth backing, or a portfolio question — if it's ambitious, I want to hear it. I read every message myself.
